Description

Emergency Information Center Training
The purpose of this training is to prepare City staff and volunteers to effectively provide critical information to the citizens of the City of Orlando during an emergency. Personnel trained will work in the Emergency Infomation Center in the event of an activation. The Emergency Information Center assists in responding to citizen’s inquiries in an emergency situation. In order to be fully functional, personnel need to attend a three hour training session that includes: Introduction to Emergency Management, telephone procedures, data entry, EIC overview, duties and responsibilities, and computer software training. Any City Staff or City Volunteers assigned to the Emergency Information Center (EIC) are required to attend on an annual basis this training.
